→ he's 28 and a budding human disaster of house trevelyan.
→ was raised devout, and does in fact believe in the maker.
→ IS BI AS HECK.
→ has lived a pretty damn privileged life all things considered.
→ selected join the chantry as one of their templar knights, however he deserted both the chantry and his training.
→ parents believe that he sabotaged his own chances, they are super disappointed in him as he was supposed to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and become a highly respected templar knight.
→ pretty much considers himself a shame upon the family name after that point, and instead of thinking up ways to redeem himself decided he was going to continue is apparent destiny of being a fuck up.
→ tends to drink, snark, flirt, treat practically everything as a joke etc in order to hide an ocean's worth of inadequacy issues. does not think himself good enough.
→ has a tendency to fight in the front lines despite being an archer??? wtf aiden???
→ tempest specialty you crazy asshole.
→ is terribly impulsive & not at all leader material. he got the scar on his forehead because he thought it was a good idea to climb up a tall ass tree and hang upside down from it by his legs.
→ tends to only pray when something is really bugging him, and honestly it is more of a meditation than asking the maker or andraste to help.
→ as inquisitor he doubts the whole herald nonsense, because why would she choose him of all people? there are much better people in the world to make herald. "i never claimed to be holy." half convinces himself that yeah maybe you were chosen, but then here lies the abyss happened.
→ tends to favor his right leg more than his left because of an accident many years ago where he broke it falling out of a tree, yes it is same accident that earned him his scar. it never actually healed right, leading to the favoring.
→ does a lot of things just because he can. probably not the best idea to give him a great amount of political and military power.
